Movie Reviews for May 2008.

Iron Man

(**) (THUMBS UP):

1. PROS: great action scenes; good effects; acting is exceptional; humor is fun and enjoyable. over-all a typical Marvel movie.

2. CONS: villain is introduced too late in the film (much too late), not enough action scenes; movie over-all is rushed.

Speed Racer

(**) (THUMBS UP):

1. PROS: great CGI; surprising acting; impressive & unexpected decent, and solid-story.

2. CONS: too many unnecessary things are CGI, but its more or less acceptable.

The Chronicals of Narnia: Prince Caspian

(**) (THUMBS UP):

1. PROS: almost better than the original (2005); great voice acting; Prince Caspian is a refreshing addition of a character in a fantasy movie.

2. CONS: villain is not sinister enough (the look, the sound, the background); when the threat of the White Witches return is presented, it only reminds us of how much of a evil villain she was, and that the present villain is lame.

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

(****) (THUMBS UP):

1. Pros: Good story, great acting, wonderful music, awsome action, impressive effects. This was the most fun I've had at the movies in a long time! (if not ever!)

(I didn’t see Sex & The City or What Happens in Vegas)
